If you’re already pregnant
It is important you inform your health care team as soon as possible.
Blood glucose targets are:
- Fasting: <5.3mmols/L
- Before meals: 4-6mmols/L
- One hour after meals: <7.8mmols/L
You should take 5mg folic acid daily.
Throughout your pregnancy, you will:
- be reviewed by the diabetes and antenatal team regularly
- require regular eye screening
