Living with diabetes? Come along to our diabetes patient information and awareness session
The Diabetes Managed Clinical Network is hosting a diabetes patient information and awareness session on Thursday 28 May 2026 from 10am to 12pm at Troon Walker Hall, Municipal Buildings, South Beach, Troon.
The session is aimed at people living with diabetes and those who care for them.
There will be a programme of guest speakers, followed by the opportunity to visit information stands and speak with representatives from a range of services.
The session will provide an opportunity for attendees to:
- learn more about diabetes;
- speak directly with healthcare professionals;
- meet other people living with diabetes; and
- gain a better understanding of the services and support available locally
Laura-Jane Truesdale, Diabetes MCN Manager explains: “We are delighted to be able to hosting the information and awareness sessions for diabetes patients and those who care for them.
“In Ayrshire and Arran, 30,369 people are living with diabetes – and every one of them has the power to take control of their health. This session, and future sessions which are planned in East and North over the coming months, allows patients to speak to professionals and learn more about diabetes.
“If you have diabetes, it’s an opportunity for you to meet other people living with diabetes and provide a greater understanding of the services and support available to you in Ayrshire and Arran.”
