VICTOR

What is VICTOR?

The aim of VICTOR is to help adults living with type 2 diabetes to manage their diabetes by:

  • developing skills in insulin dose adjustment
  • improving insulin sensitivity through lifestyle changes

This will contribute to reducing short and long-term diabetes related health problems.

Who can take part in VICTOR?

Any adult with type 2 diabetes on insulin therapy can take part.

Where do I take part in VICTOR?

NHS Ayrshire & Arran provides the remote VICTOR course, in conjunction with the Open University.

The remote VICTOR course includes online learning from home each week, in addition to a weekly support call with your peers and VICTOR educators, via NHS Attend Anywhere.

This allows participants to fit their learning around their work and home commitments.
