Beta

We’re excited to announce that our new website is now available for public beta testing! This marks a significant milestone on our journey of updating our existing content.

During this beta phase, we are offering you the opportunity to explore and experience our new public website first hand. Your valuable feedback and insights will be incredibly helpful in shaping the final product and making it even better. We encourage you to try out all the features, report any issues you encounter, and let us know about your thoughts on how we can enhance your user experience.

What is a Public Beta?

A public beta is a pre-release phase where the website is made available to a broader audience to gather real-world usage feedback. While we have put in considerable effort to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, it is possible that you may come across some minor issues or improvements that can be made. Rest assured, our team is actively monitoring the platform and working diligently to address any concerns that arise.

How can you participate?

Participating in the public beta is straightforward. Should you encounter any bugs or have suggestions for improvements, use the feedback form provided on the website or reach out to our support team at CommunicationXH@aapct.scot.nhs.uk.

Why participate?

By joining the public beta, you get a sneak peek into what NHS Ayrshire & Arran has to offer and can influence its development by sharing your thoughts.

We look forward to your feedback and the opportunity to create a remarkable platform together.

Known Issues

As noted above, this is a “Beta” of the site. There are a few known issues, including:

  • Some links may not work or may redirect you to our archived site.
  • Some pages have yet to be transferred over from out old site.
  • The page URL structure may change.
  • The items in the menus may change slightly as we adjust them.
  • Images have not yet been optimized for low-bandwidth connections.
  • Full accessibility testing has not yet been performed.

Our main goal right now is to give you an initial view of where we are going with the site and to get any initial feedback.

Future Beta Periods

Over the next weeks and months we will be creating new content and migrating content from the existing NHS Ayrshire & Arran website. There will be additional points at which we will be seeking feedback, including:

  • ACCESSIBILITY TESTING – our site is planned to meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines. When ready, we will be seeking testing/feedback on the work we have done.
