Services over Christmas and New Year 2023 / 2024
GP Practices
Your GP surgery will be closed for four days from Saturday 23rd December and will reopen on Wednesday 27th December 2023, and again from Saturday 30th December 2023 until Wednesday 3rd January 2024. If you become unwell and cannot wait for your surgery to re-open, you should call NHS 24 on 111. Alternatively, there are some local pharmacies who will be open on these dates – click here to view.
Repeat prescriptions
Every GP surgery has its process for ordering repeat prescriptions. This might be over the phone, or it could be online. Order only what you need, in plenty of time. Check with your practice how far in advance you need to order your repeat prescription.
Dental Practices
Your Dental Practice will be closed for four days from Saturday 23rd December and will reopen on Wednesday 27th December 2023, and again from Saturday 30th December 2023 until Wednesday 3rd January 2024. If you need urgent dental advice when your practice is closed, you should call NHS 24 on 111. Alternatively, there are some local pharmacies who will be open on these dates who might be able to help.
