The Neuro Outpatient Physiotherapy service can support people who are over the age of 16 and have a neurological diagnosis. Physiotherapy will support you to work towards specific and realistic goals, to live as independently and actively as possible. Our team of physiotherapists will offer assessment and treatment of impairments in movement, strength, balance, co-ordination and muscle tone, as well as education, advice and signposting.
Those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Motor Neuron Disease (MND) from all Ayrshire Localities will be referred to the North Ayrshire Neuro Outpatient Team based at Douglas Grant Rehab Centre (Ayrshire Central Hospital), whereas patients with other neurological conditions may be seen by their local Neuro Outpatient Team.

All ability cycles is a club held at Ayrshire Athletics Arena in Kilmarnock run by East Ayrshire Vibrant communities. This community club is for adults and children with additional needs. They have a variety of accessible bikes and cycles to suit a wide variety of individual needs.
Frame running is also available at the Riverside Sports Centre in Ayr. The three wheeled frames can be used by adults and children to build strength and maintain fitness.

KA Leisure – leisure facilities in North Ayrshire with access to gyms, swimming pools and classes including condition specific classes such as Stroke and Neuro. The Active Lifestyle team also offer a range of community programmes at various locations for different abilities including aqua, chair-based classes and keep fit.
Opportunities in retirement – A community run organisation for the over 50’s to pursue new or existing interests, meet people, stay active and alert and learn new skills. Activities are held in the 3 towns and Largs.
