NHS Ayrshire & Arran patients can access dedicated hospital radio services provided by local volunteer-run charities.
These services offer music, entertainment and specialist programmes, helping patients stay connected with their local community during their hospital stay.

Ayr Hospital Radio

Ayr Hospital Radio provides radio programmes for patients in University Hospital Ayr and Biggart Hospital, as well as online listening for the wider community.
The station offers a range of music, entertainment and community-focused content and has been broadcasting in Ayrshire since 1953.
Crosshouse Hospital Radio

Crosshouse Hospital Radio is provided by Hospital Broadcasting Service Ayrshire (HBSA).
The service broadcasts 24 hours a day for patients and staff at University Hospital Crosshouse and the Ayrshire Maternity Unit.
The station provides as much live output as possible between 8am and 10pm each day. Night time and empty daytime slots are covered by pre-recorded material, meaning that there is always something to listen to.
The service is available free of charge to patients:
- via bedside entertainment terminals on (Radio) Channel 1 of Spark TSL
- on the HBSA website
