Pre-school children aged 2 to 5 years are eligible for a seasonal flu vaccination.
Invitation appointment letters for 2 to 5-year-old pre-school children were sent to homes in Ayrshire from August 2023. To be eligible children must have been aged 2 or above on 1 September 2023.
If you need to reschedule your child’s appointment please follow instructions on the letter. Children aged 6 months to 2 years with a condition that places them at higher risk of flu are also eligible for a vaccination this winter. Parents and carers of children in this group will be contacted directly to arrange an appointment. If your child has missed their appointment or school clinic, or has been given an appointment that’s not suitable, they can attend a Childhood Vaccination Team drop-in session.
