Injection Technique

Good injection technique ensures that you get the most out of your injectable therapy and achieve the best blood glucose control possible while avoiding complications associated with poor injection technique.

Things to remember

  • Check injection sites, avoid any bruised or bumpy areas
  • Use a new needle for each injection
  • 4mm needles are the recommended size
