If you have a concern you would like to speak to someone about, you can contact our Confidential Contacts or Speak Up Advocates (SUAs) in confidence.
Confidential Contacts
We recognise that raising a concern can feel daunting. Our Confidential Contacts are designated members of staff who, alongside their normal roles, provide a safe and confidential space for colleagues to discuss concerns, receive advice, and be signposted to the appropriate support and next steps.
Our Confidential Contacts are listed below:
- Fiona McLeod, Clinical Team Leader, Brooksby Medical & Resource Centre, Largs – Fiona.McLeod2@aapct.scot.nhs.uk
- Dr Laura Mitchell, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, University Hospital Crosshouse – Laura.Mitchell4@aapct.scot.nhs.uk
Speak Up Advocates
Speak Up Advocates are members of staff from a range of roles and locations across NHS Ayrshire & Arran who provide information, advice, guidance and support to colleagues who are considering or wish to raise a concern.
They can help you understand your options, explain relevant policies and procedures, link with relevant managers where appropriate, and attend meetings with you for support. Conversations are treated confidentially, and your details will not normally be shared without your consent.
Our Speak Up Advocates will support you and listen to you without prejudice or judgment. They can arrange to speak with you on the phone, via MS Teams or arrange to meet face to face.
