Helping to secure employment for unemployed locals

  • by NHSAAA

A bespoke recruitment and induction programme has resulted in the successful completion of nine fully funded work placements within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

In collaboration with East, North and South Ayrshire Local Employability Partnerships, NHS Ayrshire & Arran has provided paid work placements for nine local unemployed parents.

The participants were placed within the Medical Records, Cochlear Implant, Medical Imaging, Learning and Development and Public Health departments of the organisation.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Employability Advisor, Jonny Baillie, said: “The feedback from the departments involved and the participants themselves has been extremely positive, and I’m pleased to say that six of them have gone on to secure employment after their placement. A huge well done to everyone involved and thank you to the departments who supported the programme. We are delighted with its success and will be replicating it again this year.”
