Liam Gallacher joined the NHS Ayrshire & Arran Board on 1 January 2024.
Liam is a qualified Chartered Accountant who, after working in Corporate Audit, moved into industry within the Global IT sector, where he remained for over 32 years before retiring in 2020. As well as his time as a finance professional, he also has extensive experience in people management, having managed international operational teams in Parts Supply Chain, Intellectual Property Management and Business Planning; including working on many complex mergers and company re-organisations.
Liam is keen to be involved with his local area and is the Vice Chair of a Housing Association based in East Ayrshire; and is Chairman and Treasurer of a large youth football club in South Ayrshire.
Liam will take over as Chair or Staff Governance Committee and will be a member of Integrated Governance Committee, Endowment Committee and Remuneration Committee. He is also an NHS non-executive member on the South Ayrshire Integration Joint Board.
