Derek Lindsay joined NHS Ayrshire & Arran as Director of Finance in April 2000. He was previously Director of Finance in NHS Dumfries and Galloway. Derek is a chartered accountant with around 25 years’ experience of working in the health service. He has also worked as an accountant in professional practice and in industry.
He chairs the Scottish NHS Pensions Group, as well as the West of Scotland Directors of Finance group.
Derek is involved in church organisations, including Gideons International, and is a director of Broken Chains (Ayr) Ltd, a charity which helps the homeless and people with drink or drug addiction.
Derek is the lead officer for Performance Governance and Audit Committee.
