Our Delivering Caring for Ayrshire vision is clear: we want people to receive the care they need as close to home as possible. This means building strong community services, while still ensuring quick, safe and high‑quality access to specialist care when it’s needed.
Health and care services across Ayrshire and Arran are experiencing growing demand and changing expectations. At the same time, we must ensure our services remain safe, high‑quality and financially sustainable. This is a challenge that affects us all, and we are committed to working together to build a modern, person‑centred system that meets the needs of local people now and in the future.
We want to work in partnership with our communities to explore new and innovative ways of designing and delivering care. Your insights, experiences and ideas are vital in helping us shape services that truly reflect what matters to you.
Delivering Caring for Ayrshire is led jointly by NHS Ayrshire & Arran and the three Ayrshire Integration Joint Boards. In recent conversations we have reflected on the progress made so far and will identify the priorities that will guide the next phase of Delivering Caring for Ayrshire. These discussions will continue to shape how we take this important work forward, together with the people and communities we serve.
