NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Ministerial Annual Review will take place on Monday 7 December 2026 at University Hospital Crosshouse.
The Ministerial Annual Review is an opportunity to hear how we are performing, what we have achieved, and the challenges we are working to address. It will be led by Alison Thewliss MSP, Minister for Community Care.
What the Annual Review will include
- A presentation from our Chairperson including highlights of key achievements and areas for improvement
- A Question & Answer (Q&A) session with the Minister, Board Chair, Chief Executive and Senior Management Team
- A meeting between the Minister and a group of patients and carers to share their experiences of NHS Ayrshire & Arran services
Opportunities to get involved
We warmly invite members of the public, patients, carers, staff, and partners to attend and take part in the Annual Review meeting.
You can submit a question about your experience of NHS Ayrshire & Arran
The Ministerial Annual Review will include a Question and Answer session chaired by the Minister. Questions will be answered by the Minister, the NHS Ayrshire & Arran Board Chair and the NHS Ayrshire & Arran Chief Executive.
If you have received care from NHS Ayrshire & Arran in the past 12 months and would like to ask a question about your experience, we’d love to hear from you.
We welcome questions that reflect your experiences or observations from the past 12 months. These help us understand what’s working well, where improvements might be needed, and what matters most to you.
Here are some things to think about when considering your question:
- What improvements have you noticed in your care or services?
- What challenges did you face when accessing or receiving care?
- What would you like to understand better about how services are delivered?
- Was there a moment where you felt particularly supported or listened to?
- Do you have suggestions for how communication with patients could be improved?
- How well do you feel your needs were understood and met by staff?
- Is there something you think NHS Ayrshire & Arran could do differently to improve patient experience?
You can send your question to us ahead of the event using the link below.
You can also submit your question by email to aa.planningteam@aapct.scot.nhs.uk
Please submit your question by Monday 2nd November 2026.
Questions will be reviewed ahead of the event, and responses will be provided during the Q&A session where possible. Questions unanswered on the day will receive a written response following the event.
