Please stay at home and avoid unnecessary travel. We will continue to ensure that patients receive the best care. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Due to the severe weather warnings for Ayrshire today, Friday 24th January, we have had to take the following measures to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, our patients and their families.
In view of the travel advice from Police Scotland, we do not wish to risk patients travelling for non-urgent care.
Non-urgent outpatient appointments and elective hospital admissions scheduled for Friday 24 January are being cancelled
Urgent and emergency care and essential maternity and community services will continue to be provided.
If you are affected, we will reschedule your appointment or admission date as soon as possible. If you require to proceed to attend hospital for an essential appointment you will be telephoned to confirm arrangements.
Telephone consultations will proceed as normal.
GP practices will only be providing urgent care tomorrow in order to avoid unnecessary travel.
All vaccination clinics due to take place on Friday 24th January have been cancelled and appointments will be rescheduled.
We are contacting patients, but would be grateful if you could share this information with any friends or family who may be affected.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We are managing the situation in respect of Storm Eowyn and updates will be provided should the situation change.
