Dr Alison Graham
Dr Graham joined NHS Ayrshire & Arran as Executive Medical
Director in March 2013, following six years as Executive Medical
Director of NHS Lanarkshire. She is also the former Medical
Director of NHS Highland.
Dr Graham is a graduate of Dundee University Medical School.
Following qualification she held posts in Accident and Emergency
and Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Scotland and England, being
appointed Director of Community Medicine at the Royal United
Hospital in Bath in 1997. She joined NHS Highland as a locum
Consultant in Public Health Medicine the following year, was
appointed Medical Director to the Highland Acute Hospitals NHS
Trust in 1999 and Board Medical Director of NHS Highland in
She is currently the chairman of the Scottish Association of
Medical Directors (SAMD) and serves on a range of national groups,

Dr Graham is committed to instilling a patient-centred approach
