Assessment and treatment unit
The Learning
Disability Service will always aim to help people where they
live.
But sometimes it will be best for people to stay for a while at
Arrol Park Resource Centre, in South Ayrshire (01292 615931).
Doing this can help us to find out the best ways to help
someone.
It can allow the person to quickly get support from lots of the
professions who work in the Learning Disability Service.
And it can help the people who care for them at home to plan better
ways of supporting the person.
The Community Learning Disability Team, and other professionals,
will work with people to decide when a stay in the Assessment and
Treatment Unit is the best option.
