Chaplaincy Services

The Chaplaincy Service is committed to offering support and care to patients, staff, relatives and carers. It is available to people of all faiths – and none.

The Chaplains are a trained and accredited, non-denominational and denominational team who are available throughout NHS Ayrshire & Arran for people in hospital and in the community. The Chaplaincy Service operates 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week.

Chaplains provide a service that is confidential, person-centred and tailor-made to the needs of each individual. They offer a non-judgemental listening ear and enable patients, relatives and carers, and staff to practise their religion while in hospital. They are also active in staff care, providing support for staff across the Board.
