Ayrshire Maternity Unit’s Neonatal Unit (NNU) has received a generous donation from the parents of twin boys who received care there when they were born last year.

Aaron and Logan Cook, from Kilmarnock, spent three months in the NNU after being born at 29 weeks on 16 February 2016. Their parents, Robert and Vicky, visited the NNU to present staff with a cheque for £1050 after Robert took part in the Glasgow Men’s 10k event on Father’s Day (Sunday 18 June).

Caroline Blake, Clinical Midwife Manager Neonatal Services, said: “We would like to thank Robert, Vicky and everyone who contributed to raise this fantastic amount. It is greatly appreciated. Staff in the unit were delighted to see Aaron and Logan when they came in to visit us.”
