Actively Engaged is a pilot website developed by NHS Ayrshire & Arran's Allied Health Professionals (AHP) in partnership with care providers from local authorities and the independent sector.  The project is funded by the Scottish Government, and the project outcomes will be shared nationally.

Actively Engaged brings together evidence-based practice, tools and techniques. The website offers a single point of access for anyone supporting an older person in any care setting. This can be in a hospital, in a day care setting in the community, in a care home or in the person's own home.

Pocket ideas: A moment in time

This award-winning project gives users a pocket tool of prepared prompts that can be used to begin a conversation with older people.

How we approach people matters, and how we help people engage in purposeful activity is important.
